	Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

((I'm having a bob moment from excitement, no kidding. I will have to come up with something. Problem is I'll be out of town after Monday and any free time not at work on Monday will be packing))

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

To speed things up I asked dan if it was ok to just hit the fast forward button with the fight. It takes Rory and Sabby 90 minutes to find Vael.

Sabby and Rory are able to defeat both Vael and the padawan. The combined powers of the two are too much for Vael.

For story purposes:

Rory is able to make short work of the padawan leaving a one on one battle between Vael and Sabby. Of course with Rory on stand by Vael has no chance for escape or victory.

Sabby brings vael down, he asks for mercy,,,,what do you do?

Sabby glares at Vael, his eyes almost piercing his chest as he reaches forward with both hands as if to offer Vael a hand up. Before he can take them , Sabby clenches his fists and unleashes his pent up rage as lightning runs from his hands into Vael's body.

Rory hesitates for a moment then looks like he will strike at Sabby. He hits the button on his green light saber disengaging the blade. He stands by and watches Vael die.

Dark side points for us both.

Since you were probably using your dark side powers, add 3 more dsp for you Dan. Be careful on those.

Rory picks up the lightsabers then puts them in a pocket in his robe.

Rage and his lady friend are fully healed after the 3 hours waiting for Rory and Sabby.

We are still waiting for word on what to do with the students.

Might be a good RP for you guys while I'm gone.

my 1st reply went to the aim void.

the students will be offered a choice. come with us to learn our way of the force; remain here and resume their lives provided they seek no additional training; or challenge us singularly or as a group. they have until we return from our primary mission to decide. when we return i would like to see if we can discover the secret to the dojo I would love to have a force dampening belt or blaster ammo. ;D

Capacity of the transport is 45 people comfortably, 65 people uncomfortable, and 90 people standing room only.

Capacity of the Prime is 25 people comfortably, 45 people uncomfortable, and 70 people standing room only.

Capacity of the Whistle is 4 people comfortably, 7 people uncomfortable, and 10 people standing room only. Keep in mind that according to the description of the S40K Phoenix Hawk-class light pinnace no one will be completely comfortable.

We are onboard the Prime preparing for launch.

The students take no time in deciding to come with us and accept training from the New Jedi Council. (What do we do with them in the meantime?)

A yeoman approaches Sebastian and says there is an incoming message from Ktygaavh. He is requesting to speak to you about what happened on a private channel.

Captain Farrell is also on the bridge finishing up the paperwork for the repairs. There is an incoming transmission from one of our scout ships.

Scout: ”Admiral…Captain…Whomever. I just did a flyby scan on Harrin and I have some bad news. Our original landing zone near the Cruddle Styx (The Cantina) has been compromised; it has been overrun by zombies. The closest landing zone is an estimated 22 hours away from the Cantina. On a related bit of news, the Cantina is surrounded by some sort of dampening field. Scans will not penetrate the building. Scout 1 out!”

Captain Farrell punches a few numbers into a calculator and says: “22 hours to the Cantina and 22 hours back to the loading zone gives only a four hour window of error. Not to mention how do you expect to find people and get them back to the transports? We need a plan, Admiral do you or any of the Jedi have any suggestions?”

His tone is not sarcastic but of genuine concern.

He asks what happened with Vael.

Rory sits down on the bridge of the Prime and is unable to offer any suggestions for the rescue mission. Is it like some magical force is just clouding his brain and it not allowing him any thoughts. This is just my silly way of saying since I am the GM and rory is a GMPC he can't offer anything because he sorta knows what is going to happen.
