Hi All,
Just to let you know of the caliber of players we have here. I ask that the players
write a journal entry of what happened in the game thru the eyes of there character.
Some creativity of the players is just outstanding! So to give you an example of
this here is TYRIS: .....
**********
Vigilance. I hear tale there's gold to be had and a name to be made in a town called Vigilance. My name Tyris and I aim to do both. It doesn't take long to realize that everyone in that town is talking about the increased numbers of Orcs and Goblins in the area. Things like that happen for a reason, I figure I'll head out and see whats going on.
I trounce around in those mountains for damn near a week. Orcs leave pretty big tracks so it wasn't hard to figure out where they were all congregating. Looks like something else has been prowling around here too. Found some tracks that were made by boots too nice to be Orcs or Goblins, the pacing of half of em were likely made by Dwarves, maybe Orcs in irons, but probably Dwarves. Its worth the risk to follow them.
Low and behold I find a group of well armed, miss matched, dwarves and humans. Some of em with elf blood. I'd bet half my gold they were coming out of Vigilance just like I was. Safety in numbers I always say.
"So the plan is to run down there, grab the body while they're confused, and run out.", one of em said.
Now I don't clam to be good with introductions, and sometimes I blert things out without thinking, so don't ask me where I came up with this next line though it's probably one of the better ones, "Only Gods and fools would ride into that camp with them all up and armed and you don't look like Gods to me...", after some long stares I introduced myself. I was immediately answered by the biggest one, Shamus, who told me he was better lookin' than I was.
Probably true.
After some debate we determined that running into a throng of Orcs wasn't the best idea in the world. Burning building or not, but with a group this big we could probably start picking them off in small groups, and wouldn't you know it, they just let one out of the stockade. We all agreed headding to the highground and pelting them with arrows was a good idea.
Now I hate fighting Orcs. They swing hard and they don't quit until you've killed them. So seeing a small contingent of them heading toward me and a bunch of people I've never seen fight before makes me uneasy. Just as I was thinking "I just want this to be over with" Shamus was kind enough to shoot off the first arrow. The dwarves seemed bothered by it, but what ain't they bothered by? Turns out they can all fight, or use magic.
I learned that Gnomes are dangerous and smart, they can also clear your mind of all those random thoughts about what to eat tomorrow so you never miss. I learned that a man can jump ten feet in the air and get hit by large swords over and over again and keep killing. I learned that dwarves are good at killin' orcs.
We're all good at killin' orcs.
I think I'm going to stick around for a while and do some more of that.

I think you can see this is great!
