I will leave it up to you to decide if you want to post your guy here. The purpose of this topic is to figure out a way that your guy is involved or will be involved with the group. I know you said your guy had something to do with the circus. Dan's character also has ties to the circus. It might be the most obvious way in but I will leave that up to you.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

He did spend about 6 or 8 years in a travelling circus as an acrobat, he left that life to be with a girl a year or so ago...and now he's a dance instructor in town.

Maybe the other player recognizes my name, or I recognize his.....get together for cofee, then starbucks get robbed, we both run to bathroom to change into our superhero costumes, see each other, and proceed to do a dynamic duo on the bad guys?

Bob's guy is the only guy with a costume for our current group. My GMPC chars don't wear costumes.

Our characters are not from around here. One GMPC is a wanderer that goes from town to town entering martial arts tournaments. The girl he is involved with is from another dimension. Dan busted out of the circus and Bob's guy heard about our exploits and wanted to lend a hand.

You could know Dan's character out of your costume, but no clue who you are in your costume. That could be fun and just a suggestion.

You able to play Sunday?

Dan and Paul know my character in costume and out of costume. They suspect that we are the same person but are NOT sure.

My guy found the existing party like this:

- Tank and Wolfsbane were already known heroes in the area. Although they were surrounded in controversy word of them somehow reach me.
So I showed up in a bar during one of Tanks fights, and was greeted by a very "unfavorable" welcome by wolfsbane (the werewolf).

My guy ends up leaving the bar disappointed. However as a last ditch effort he tells Tank to meet his friend the "Thuderous Viglant" on main street at midnight. (Thunderous is my guys secret ID).

None of the heroes meet with me. However the Sherif in town (who is dissapointed with the current state of the heroes)...enlists me to help "shape them up". I am assigned a mission with them the very next day. They meet me in costume and still dont know my secret ID was the guy they were rude to in the bar, but they suspect...

Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

I say we are all FORCED to take a dance class by the mayor before the Policemens ball were going to and Harry (joebender) is the instructor.

He meets us as himself. But obvouisly he knows where heroes cause he meets you guys who have no secret ID's and me who has one. After the lesson he can follow us and when trouble arrives sneak into a bathroom and offer his services to us.

I wouldn't say forced, I'd just say the city is providing us with dance lessons paid for by the city.

I'm not expecting anything on short notice. However I do like the ideas of how your character will be introduced and will just end up doing the dance lessons thing anyway.
