Due to what I've been reading lately and with the addition of two members looking for Pathfinder games I figured I'd create a board.
My interest in the game is rather low but that doesn't mean I won't play if time permits. If I do end up playing I would hope that once in a while people would play in a game I'd like to run. Not really required, I just want to play and run many games.
As for now there isn't a PF game going here that I know of. I know Eric and Phil are interested.
If anyone wishes to moderate / GM this PF board then let me know. I will set you up to moderate so you can create sub boards for your game information or whatever you'd want to use them for.

Hi All, I'm trying to get this off the ground. And will try to get with Paul. I see most of you, this may not your cup -of- Tea, but I feel most games are fun or not based on who is running them. So, I would like to add some attachments OF THE GAME SYSTEM IN pdf FILE. Take a look and it is hopes that you may see something that will spark your interest.

Eric I've played a lot of D&D and fantasy over the years, and am just a little burnt out of the genre. My last 3.5 game I retired the character due to him finding a better gig in game. I got a lot of strange looks at the table when I said my thief/mage was going to stop adventuring and run the tavern he just stole. Yes, he stole a tavern. I agree 100% about the games that are fun depending on who is running them. I'd go ape stuff for a game of CoC, Paranoia, or Shadowrun. I still want to run Star Wars some but the top of my list of games I want to run is Marvel Super Heroes. I just like to change it up once in a while. There is a fly skill? How does that work?

I would be willing to try it out depending on where/when the games are at.

I'm still new to PF myself, coming from 2nd edition AD&D but it's not a whole lot different. When would you be able to run it? I'm quickly picking up all the physical books, having all of them pirated on pdf

I've only played 2nd once and that was a long time ago. I posted about my characters a few days back.
I have played 3.5 a bit.
From what I can tell it is just d20. D20 systems are very similar. Looking at the PF char sheet reminds me of the SWSE sheet.

No, your right, it is a D20 system, and it's quite simple. I just bought the bestiary yesterday, and I'm a subscriber of the campaign setting, and the adventure path as well. I should have four new books next week. Paizo is a great company, and for that reason I'm still purchasing all the physical copies of the books even though I have all of them on pdf on my laptop. The amount of work they put into this game, and the quality of the product combined with stellar customer service makes me want to stand behind this company.

You are not the first to say that too. PF gets good reviews on a lot of the sites I go to.

Pathfinder might be interesting as another group dynamic, I hope we can put something together.

I am a little out of your area (I am in NW Indiana) but if you are interested in Pathfinder, I can answer some questions. I am active in a Pathfinder Society Organized Play group, so I am fairly familiar with the rules, both as a play and a GM. Plus, I can put anyone in touch with the local Venture Captain for Pathfinder Society.
