The Nation of Hyperion existed long ago in the relm of Agon, their empire spaned all the way from Morack to Devargheim. Which spanned almost the entire central continent.
During this time the land was known as Hyperia. It was ruled by a man known as Mannus Rex, the lord of Hyperion.
During Manuses time as king his enchanters developed a armor known as "infernal" and an elemental weapon known as the Shithra-Blade. Manus Rex lead the Hyperion kindgom to many victories with this blade.
However things were not always good for Hyperion.
The Kings cousin, Lord Charles Darkhand Desired the Throne. A declaration of War was declared against the crown. Gathering up support from the orcish tribes he established a Nation called the Kingdom or Morhan After a decade of war, Manus was ultimately defeated. However his legendary weapons were smuggled away by the kings elven allies at the last moments. The king then turned himself into his cousin, who of course brutally executed Manus Rex.
Now lord Darkhand was the King of Men and the Morhan Empire had its beginnings. Rulership of this Empire passed to Darkhands son Borgan. During Borgans rulership a resistance movement known as "The Bloodstone Syndicate" (lead by a Human and his dwarven partners) succeeded in liberating the Hyperion Captial Region from Morhan Control.
A Republic was formed. This Republic was called the Republic of Freehold. Freehold, took back more land and even successfully assasinated Borgan Darkhand. However, Borgan's seventeen year old Morgan survived. Morgan Darkhand was a young man obsessed with necormancy and began to raise armies of undead against freehold.
This is where you guys come in:
The Republic of Freehold's military has become so overwhelmed by Orc and Undead invasions that they have started seeking help from mercenaries and wandering adventurers. The pay is really good and others have already taken up the cause.
Your first mission is to go to the the town of Ravencrest and investigate the Lord Wardens missing daughter. After that...who knows.
What level do we start at?:
If you are playing a new Charecter or you are continuing your character from the game on Tuesday, you start at level 2.
If you want to use your character from my previous games you are more then welcome to. You ALSO start at level 2 if you play one of those characters. (i know most of those characters were at level 3 but change them to 2 if you use them)
The original Group:
Muffins, Keith, John and Kyle were part of a group that I ran missions for last year. They were sent by freehold much like you guys are being sent now on similar missions. However they ran into one of Morgans henchman and were knocked out by some magic spell. (their whereabouts are unknown).
Out of character: I only did this because two players were quitting so I wanted to end the campaign somehow.
How this all ties in: For story reasons if any one decides to play an old character then what happens is they somehow "return" from wherever the evil baddie sent them. (presumably another demented dimension of some sort)
