At the council chambers on Yavin

Master Luke: "Thank you all for coming to the meeting today. I know you have all been very busy, but a few issues can not wait much longer. One of the issues will be brought up by Master Jones." He looks over at Sabby and nods.

Sabby: "As you all know, part of becoming a Jedi Knight is the construction of a lightsaber. I believe it is time for an old Jedi tradition to come back, I am speaking of the Jedi Trials. I have researched the information and believe that it will be of good use to focus my Padawan's mind. This will also aid him in the construction of his lightsaber. I would like each of the other members councils opinion on the matter. Rage, you may not vote on this issue if you are ready for the trials, assuming the other Masters agree."

Master Luke: "Abstain"

Master Anakin: "I remember when I was on my trial. I learned a lot about myself, and about the force. I agree."

Master Ktygaavh: "Yes, it is the old ways"

Master Umgelder: "Yes:

Master Jones: "It appears that the majority of the council agrees on this. After the final de-breifings and ceromonys we shall leave. I will try to find us sufficient passage to the planet for the trials. I have all the materials needed except for the final crystal for Rage."
((After these votes))

Master Luke: "The next issues, is the final vote for Alegnia to be a full member on the Council. How say each of you."

Master Luke: "Yes"

Master Anakin: "Yes"

Master Ktygaavh: "Yes"

Master Umgelder: "Yes"

Master Jones: "I vote For."

Rage:

Master Luke: "It appears the vote has passed, and we can welcome Alegnia as a member of the council. Master Jones, once you have arranged passage you and Rage may leave when you are ready for your journey. May the force be with you."

((I spoke with Dan about the votes but was too tired to post them myself. I just wanted to do a quick recap of what happened when we got back. The quick version is we got back, SoWT created a cure, ended the plague, and we all got medals at a ceremony honoring the fallen. The repair crews are working on the ships. Rory wants to go on the trials to feel worthy of being a Jedi even though he already has the title of knight.))

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

The council meeting ends and Sabby and Rory meet up. Sabby asks Rory if he can take them to the planet for the trials and he agrees as he feels the need to go through the trials himself. With arrangements finished Sabby will let Rage and Rory know that we leave in the morning and you can rest for the rest of the day and evening.

In the morning the Whistle leaves with Sabby, Rage, Rory and R4D2 to watch over the ship while everyone is busy. The ship arrives over the planet Ilum and Sabby gives Rory the coordinates of where to land.

What do you guys do?

During the one night Rory will meditate. His usual night time routine. ((I am very close to deciding what to do with those crystals we found on that lorekeeper, for my story purpose Rory has them and is requested by the council to figure out if they are worthy of saber crystals. The gems meant nothing to the new lorekeeper))

Sensor check
Orbital (other ships) and surface (life forms near the cords)

If nothing out of the oridinary Rory will ask Rage if he wants to land us.

There are some life forms near the cords, and all around the planet. There is what appears to be a ship at the cords where to land.

Can we tell what type and class of ship?

Rory will stand by on shields / weapons but not raise / activate either unless provoked.

((Just going to assume Rage is actually going to try to land it.))

As the ship comes in lower into the atmosphere you can see the ship on the ground. It is half buried in the snow. It appears to have been here for a few years. The ship touches down without any problems. It is hard to see outside of the ship due to the weather.

Sabby: "Well, get your cloaks and some climbing gear. We need to go up the cliff face here. R4, keep the scanners going and if there are any issues let me or Rory know."

The droid beeps an affirmative and Sabby leaves the cockpit and heads towards the entrance ramp, ready for the rest of the group.

Snow and ice are filling holes in the hull and you get a bad feeling that going inside would not be a good idea.

I was wondering about why you posted in here, it is too bad we didn't buy the Ilum cave maps....Would have been sweet. I'm expecting my Endor maps Tuesday. That would have been useful destroying the shield generator.
