It would be fun to have a board game night or something.

I was talking with Bryon from work and we got talking about blood bowl and well I want to try and play the game again without playing against jackass Randy.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Now that my Star Wars campaign has ended and Dan is taking over I’m going to resurrect this idea about a board game / video game night. Bob just recently reminded me and we both agree with Geoff’s setup it would kick ass.

Here is my idea again:

I need a day to have character creation for my D&D dungeon crawl. Rather then spending a day with just doing that I think we should have a game night with other games. I would have people come with me to create their D&D characters. This is a one on one process anyway so I would only take a person away for 30 minutes to an hour each depending on proficiency of creativity.

Now this idea isn’t limited to our gaming group. Anyone can have the option of bringing in a game and friends.

What does everyone think?

Looks like I continue to talk to myself, but oh well.

I was able to figure out how to play counterstrike over a lan with only one account.

I also tried micro machines. Still need more time for a full assessment of that game.
