What do people think about playing on this day?

Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

I work a morning shift on both Saturday (9:10am-3) and Sunday (8:45am-3:15). So I wouldn't want to stay out to late on Saturday and since I work out in New Lenox travel time on Sunday would take a little while since we would start early, but sacrifice must be made so it doesn't matter to me.

Hey I've been to that theatre before, it is the closest one to my house in Joliet.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

(worked there for three years an the only raises they give is when minimum wage went up... bastards)

Sunday night game ideas:

I was thinking about this and I have come to two conclusions:
LAN Center vs Dan's

The LAN center is closer for most. This is only an advantage at the end of the night. If we played at Dan's then we would be going home late from Naperville as opposed to Lemont. The trade off would be that Dan's house is minutes away from where Bob and I work. Rather then waiting for either Dan or myself to drive to lemont from work (Probably 25 minute drive) we could start the games earlier if we all met at Dan's around 8PM (when I get off work). I could then get to Dans in about 10 minutes and we could start at 8:30 ish as opposed to 9ish. I've been in enough games to know that things don't start right away....ever!
The LAN center costs money too. It may not seem like much for a bunch of young 20 somethings, but I am pretty sure that none of you have a mortgage, wife, and son. I also have my own table, why spend money to go somewhere else and use theirs?

This is of course if Dan and I decide to join your DnD game. I am a little interested.

Lan center is free for D&D. They will just charge you for drinks and stuff. It also is a great place to do other stuff (Magic/ Computer Gaming) as well.

I am all for playing at Dan's....dont know about my crew.
The Lan center backroom will get crowded with 8 people and if people are playing magic we may not be guaranteed a spot to play anyways.

I donno though...my games work so well because my players go to the Lan center out of habit. I hope it wont be hard to get them to go to Dans....

I always pay for a computer when i go there for darkfall so I can AFK mine while I dm and play magic...but they only charge if you use a computer.

They make plenty off of cards and drinks for magic (probably more then they make for computer time actually...they sell a lot of cards there is ALWAYS someone in there looking at their card binder) . Ive never seen anyone in there just for magic have to burn paid game hours.
