When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

I won't be able to make it in person.

We are already in talks about how we can let me game from home.

So far the plan is that I will be running a server on open rpg and one (or as many as you want really) computer will join that server and project the "map" using Dan's projector.

Whomever is joined I will make them admin/gm on the open rpg server so they can move the pieces on the "map".

I will download vent, and the worst case senario we use the mine craft vent server setup. Or if anyone else has another idea I'm open.

Dan will have as many mics as he can to set up the audio so I can hear you guys. If there are more than one laptop then more than one mic will be available. The map is just a grid, but this is the easiest way I can come up with so everyone can see what is going on.

I've never done this before so I have no idea how this will turn out. It shouldn't be that hard though.

I found some really cool maps and stuff.

I'm down with a totally remote session. I would save money on gas. Not that Dan is far, but the new job is 25 miles one way and my gas tank would thank me for not driving it all over creation this weekend. Especially after I tacked on 500 miles last weekend. *sigh*

The program is rather simple. If we do use it I will be using a different server that I found I can password protect. We also have skype and vent to talk, or just type in the room.

Once again I've heard nothing from Geoff or Jim so I have no idea what they are planning. The last minute BS is getting annoying. If things don't start changing there will be some lineup changes. If we can't meet then I am down for a full remote game. I am very familiar with open rpg, not some phantom program that I have yet to be introduced to.

That complete remote game was for last weekend. This weekend were aiming to play Saturday, and Jim already let us know he can make it. My brother is aiming to make this game too. You can always go car shopping with your mom while on your 3 day trip. Just hope it doesn't turn into a Gilligan Island adventure.

And why should we text you about games? We have forums for a reason.
