While driving home from the game I had a good idea that I wanted to run by everyone. With the talent we have at GM I wanted to open up my idea for a rotating GM.
My idea is rather simple.
Since we play two weeks in a row and take a week off we could have a new person run their game for those two weeks.
It is easier to understand like this, keep in mind the dates are made up.
Dan - 26th Dan - 2nd
Off on the 9th
Paul - 16th Paul - 23rd
Off the 30th
Jim - 7th Jim - 14th
Off the 21st
Geoff - 28th Geoff - 4th
off the 11th
Repeat
People will always have the option to pass or only do one game etc. Things will also not be perfect due to not being able to play/run every two games then off one. If this happens we'd need to adjust accordingly. If one person only wants to run one game then I will gladly run a one off to fill in that person's missing slot. Also we don't have to do two games then switch, I just figure it would be easier.
Thoughts?

Doesn't matter to me. I have lots of ideas to go off of now that classes are done and I have time.

And the polls are in early with only me casting a single vote!

After my basic D&D game on Sunday that should take up my games as GM.
That looks like Jim would be next in the rotation.
Lets see how the next few days go with Jim going on vacation.
We also need to finish Dan's SW game.

You need to be at games to be able to GM them.

I've been really mulling over the recent changes and am at another crossroads.
Let me explain:
I want to game with Jim/Geoff/Dan - Play Star Wars / MSH / Etc etc
I want more players simply because the last two weeks one person was missing and that canceled the game. This would be the same this week if Dan and Geoff didn't want to try and test the Gal Civ game.
The two newest people want to play Pathfinder. I don't have much of a problem playing Pathfinder but I don't want to just toss what we have here away.
I also don't want to me a schmoe and say things like I will only play in your game if you play in mine.
The way I see it is we have two small groups that can't seem to fully decide on one game to make a really awesome big group.
Here are some possible solutions:
#1 The groups remain two small groups. I understand that PF hasn't gotten off the ground yet but I wanted to establish the "verbal contract" early so people don't get their swords bent out of shape. Simply stated there are just multiple games going. Much like how Bob's games and mine are split. The door is open on both sides if anyone wants to join each others game.
#2 We establish some type of GM rotation much like the one suggested earlier in this topic. This one would be a little different though. Perhaps we play one game for a few months then switch to another.
#3 We just play all the time and all weekend playing one game after another. JK I would do that back in my college days but I can't do that anymore.
