Liberation of Jyrova pt1

[Paul]

After returning from the caves we are approached by the members of the Jedi council once we get off the whistle. Anakin bows to Rage and he says that he is proud of your actions in the caves. Anakin asks for your saber (Just to move things along you give it to him). Once you hand it to him he ignites it and swings it around a bit. Anakin says “Interesting design, a weapon truly designed for damage. Use it wisely.” (He hands it back) The council requests a meeting in two hours for a debriefing.

2 hours pass with nothing happening so we go to the debriefing.

All members of the council are present.

Ktygaavh speaks first; he says that is he proud of Rage for the completion of his saber by the old traditions as well as proud of Sabby for his mentoring and the idea.

Luke: “Master Umgelder I understand you created some light sabers for the padawans. May I see them and the holocron lesson you created?”

Rory stands up and walks to the center of the council, unfolds a brown blanket containing the sabers he created. Anakin stands up and ignites his own saber (really slow like he did against Luke in Empire Strikes Back).

Anakin: “Let’s see what they can do Master Umgelder.”

Rory and Anakin step off to the side into a small sparring area. The other council members stand to watch. Rory pulls the blanket over with the sabers and picks up the long handled one first then removes his personal sabers and puts them on the blanket. He ignites the weapon and an orange blade emits from the hilt.

Anakin and Rory bow to each other then engage in a duel. This duel ends when Rory seems to catch Anakin by surprise and knocks him down with the blade to his neck. Rory turns off the orange saber and helps Anakin up. Anakin looks to Rory with surprise and says he won’t underestimate him again. The next saber is the dueling saber with a green blade. The duel ends the exact opposite of the first with Rory being knocked down. Standing up in disgust Rory puts the one saber away and takes out the next one, a blue bladed saber.

Anakin: “Control your frustration. You will only anger yourself and lose focus.”

The blue bladed battle ends with Anakin getting the upper hand as well as the final battle with another blue saber.

A calm Rory looks at Anakin and says: “This was a test wasn’t it?”

Anakin: “Yes and once you learned to control yourself you were able to keep up.”

A few force teachers enter the room and each of them select one of the sabers that Rory designed. They thank Rory and say they will give them to their padawans and are looking forward to his holocron lesson.

Notes of the meeting:

The death of Boorka has dealt a devastating blow the power of the Etula. There is a power struggle within that organization and a rumor that Boorka survived.

Tier has been locked away indefinitely and is to stand trial for the plague he created in conjunction with a sith spirit.

Luke wishes to create an academy to draw in more students.

The council then talks about the progress that has been made in the liberation of Jyrova. We are to report to the planet in two days escorting both the senator and Pemi back home for a celebration. There are rumors that the Empire and the droid armies are staging one last push. We are to be there incase it happens.

We hear a knock on the door. A Muun walks in and is very nervous. He says “Master Umgelder and Jones your accounts have been hacked; only 2,000 credits are available we’ve traced the hack to the (I don’t know yet) system. There was also a trace to someone here. What I’m trying to say…is someone was working with the person from (I don’t know yet) system and that person is on Yavin.

Ktygaavh: “Although a Jedi isn’t concerned with financial wealth or possessions I am most concerned about internal security.”

The council has decided that Alegnia and Luke will go to (I don’t know yet) system and find the culprit there and we are to find the internal security leak.

Luke has asked to take your ship Sabby and Alegnia has asked rage to take his.

Both ships are fully repaired (Sabby’s from minor damage, and Rage’s from the large availability of parts and an easy ship to work on)

Sabby watchs as Anakin and Rory duel.

When the Muun enters and tells the news he sighs.
Sabby has no issues with Luke using his ship, and asks:
"If we need to go anywhere while Masters Luke and Alegnia are using our ships, perhaps Rage could use an X-wing if we need more then one ship to go."

[Paul]

Rory:"Or we can use The Whistle"

The rest of the council is attending a session of the senate to allocate more resources to Jyrova.

There is a small disturbance in the force.
It measures about an 0.9 on the disturbance o meter.
The best description is that of familiarity.
It kind of fluctates between a 0.9 and a 2.0.

Alegnia and Luke are to leave within the hour. R2D2 is going with Luke.

Han and Chewie come walking around the corner and start to speak with Luke. Han pats Rage on his shoulder as he walks by and says "Hey Kid."

Moments later Han returns and says, "Nice Job on taking out Boorka. The less Hutts around the better. We heard that the security risk you are looking for might be at Base #4. We are also headed there for supplies and figured we'd hitch a ride. Base #4 is more like Mos Eisely then a standard republic base. So watch yourself."

Rory offers to drive everyone in his speeder. ((Woot I wrote in a reason to use it))

[dan]

Sabby: "Should be fun. Just watch out for trees with your speeder, I don't wanna have to find Rage hiding in a tree somewhere."


(I was more saying if we needed multiple ships to go somewhere before Luke and Alegnia are back we could ask to borrow an xwing or another ship.))

[Paul]

Rory looks over to Sabby and asks about the small disturbance.

"I don't think that was because of Han and Chewie. I feel like someone is here. It makes me feel uneasy."

Han approaches and looks at the speeder and says "You came in that?"

Rory : " It may not look pretty but she has it where it counts."

Eveyone gets on board and we dive off. The drive should take about an hour and it is near night fall. The path is well light due to regular traffic. Han engages us in small talk, nothing major. About 35 minutes into the trip it is completly dark. Rory starts to slow down and eventually stops. On the path there is a turned over New Republic speeder, you can see people trapped under the speeder.

Sabby looks at Rory and shrugs : "It feels like its someone I know."

As Rory stops the speeder Sabby jumps up over the edge and out of the speeder. He holds his saber in his hand as he approaches the over turned speeder, looking around as he runs up to it.

[Paul]

Rory turns the speeder off and jumps over the side of the speeder and ignites the green light saber. Han and Chewie run to the turned over speeder. We can see at least two republic soldiers trapped with the speeder on them.

Knowledge check – For story purposes a roll is not going to be used.
Everyone knows that this speeder usually has a crew of 4 to 6.

Han, Chewie, and Sabby can not lift the speeder high enough. Rory stands by guarding the group. Rage sit there like a slug, it was his only defense.

Sabby: "Stand back, I'm going to cut an opening in the side."
Sabby moves close to the speeder and ignites his saber, he gets ready to cut into it and asks the people inside, "Is anyone near this spot?"

((If no one is there you can have him start to cut in to make a way to either get in or them to crawl out.))

[Paul]

((I'm a huge dice chucker - so far we'd have rolled a bunch of times just for this incident. For example I'd want you to roll perception to see if you notice anyone else while you are cutting. Same for Rory standing guard. We are going to do this. Dan pick a # between 1-10. If you are within two then you see someone if not then you don't. I'll post the # after you reply. I also hate to do this, but Rage will sit take cover in our speeder with his pistol drawn unless bob can post something different this is all that rage is going to do.))

While you cut Rory moves over to cover you. For game purposes he is holding his action to block/deflect any attacks on sabby. A single blaster bolt is deflected away by Rory. Han and Chewie go running into the Jungle after the attacker. ((Like they wouldn't?))

[dan]

((I will pick the number 5.))

Sabby doesn't look up as the blaster bolt is deflected. Nor does he seem to take any special notice of Han and Chewie running off but he notes the direction they run.

[Bob]

Rage has been rather quiet this whole time, he blurts out:

"I like the x-wing idea..." then becomes silent again and just goes with the flow like he has been doing. He also says "Dont worry this speeder is protected I got it covered"

While at the consul rage was respectful and responded as he should, he was just less outspoken then normal

[Paul]

((The # was 4, you notice you are about to cut into someone and decide to cut through them...jk you cut around them.))

The speeder has been cut in half, one person is free but another is still trapped in the other half.

Seconds later Han and Chewie come running from the jungle. They run across the path into the other side of the jungle. Think Episode IV on the death star.

Rory: "This doesn't look good Sabby. I'll cover you for as long as I can. I got a bad feeling about this."

[Bob]

Rage gets out of the speeder and starts blasting towards the direction of enemies if their are any.

He says "During the ride i hurt the family jewels sorry about that..."

[Paul]

Rory: "Rage either help me cover Sabby or help him get the speeder off this other guy!"

[Bob]

Rage, shakes off any more pain in his nuts from the speeder ride and goes to help sabby.
