Iron Man: “I’ve decided to stay here for a little longer. I still have not found Thor and there is something going on here that I feel needs more of my attention. On that note, I am taking over as leader of your group. The papers are always calling you “Our Local Heroes” and I find that to be rather boring. From now on we will be called The Astoria Avengers. We need to figure out why those sentinels were here as well as trying to take out Willie. I’m going to investigate the sentinels and I want you guys to defeat Willie with the weapons that were provided.”

He hands us each a communicator type device with AA on it. It seems like he thought a head on this one.

There have not been any Willie sightings in a few days. We have also not seen Iron Man in that time. He has been in communication but we haven’t seen him.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

Last night the Astoria Avengers got a message from Iron Man and the conversation was awkward. There were a lot of strange pauses and Iron Man seemed to talk a lot more robotic than normal. The conversation itself was rather boring just a status update.

We are set up to do a search for Willie first thing in the morning.

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

It would also make sense to go to the flop house and hang with bouncer for a while. It is kind of like our "hang" out.

We get to the Flop House and Bouncer greets us with his usual gruff demeanor. We each sit at the bar and order beer and wings. ((This would be where I’d have everyone do a resource feat check – for the forums it isn’t needed))

We get our beer and wings and watch the TV. The screen occasionally gets fuzzy and goes out ((I miss rabbit ears)). Someone playing pool yells out “What the hell Bouncer, your POS TV is messing up more than normal. I’m trying to watch the ball game! (((Baseball)).

Bouncer approaches the guy and says: “Don’t make me throw my weight around!”

As soon as he says that the TV randomly chances channels to the news, the current news story is about the raids that one eyed Willie and his crew have done recently.

The channel changes again back to the baseball game, but the fuzz is unbearable.

The guy that yelled out earlier shoves bouncer a little and says “fix your damn TV little man!”

Bouncer stands on the pool table and gets in the guys face and it looks like he is about to swing. The ground shakes a bit and TV goes to full snowy screen and the noise is very loud. The fuzz sound is loud enough to distract Bouncer from hitting the guy. Everyone in the Flop House stands up rather shocked at the TV and the ground shaking. The picture on the TV returns only to show the local emergency message and tone.

The people panic a little, one person tries to open the door to leave but it won't budge.

Tank (keep in mind is the strongest person in the room - not some GMPC I am awesome thing, it is fact because that is his build) can't even open the door. Can't even break it.

Someone looks out a window and freaks out!

Time of day is around 9PM

You take a look out the window and see a swirling blackness convering EVERYTHING. You can't see the parking lot and the lights on the outside of the building are growing dimmer. The blackness is approaching but very slowly. From this point on, you will need a pshyche check to look at it again.
