Bob and Rage

When I am a guest at a convention I am there to entertain people and add to the fun they have at the event. thus, unless the game session is advertised as one where the objective is to kill the PCs--and I've done a few of those--I try to keep PCs alive. Of course if a player doesn't want to have his character survive, the natural selection process of the game environment will take over.

	Because World of Warcraft has been the leading culprit in dumbing down the genre to make it easy enough for the mainstream audience who has never heard of an MMO before to hop in and enjoy. Now, this isn't necessarily bad. But the soaring popularity of World of Warcraft has pigeonholed the entire industry into creating clones in order to be successful.

After traveling maybe 15 minutes of traveling the force tingles inside you. For lack of better terms your spider sense is tingling. ((Sorry to run your guy here but I actually want your guy to have no control over this)) For some unknown reason you have the urge to push Luke and you do so. You ignit your saber and deflect the blaster bolt shot at you from the jungle. Deep in the jungle you hear some cackling and a voice yells out....JIBBY YO!!

(waits a moment to see if luke disagrees..if not then...

FULL CHARGE in the direction of the blast.... )

"Master Luke...ill go in first. Make sure whatever is there doesn't kill me, when it attacks you counter attack with your more experianced abilities!"

Luke:"I did not expect to be shot at."

He sighs deeply and turns away focusing on the force around him.

Luke talks into his comlink, the only thing you can make out is he is talking to Rory and Anakin.

You get a telepathic message from Luke.

Luke :"Our friend is back, lets set up a trap. Call in some of our troops. I will come in from behind him. When you hear the word, spring the trap. I sense fear in this person. Try not to kill him."

((lets just assume you are going to do what he says))

Perception roll - high enough

You hear a scuffle in the forest. It sounds like blaster shots and a lightsaber.

If Luke tells me to attack when I hear blaster shots then I do so. Otherwise I wait a few moments for his agreed signal. If I don't hear it after a few more seconds my team sneaks towards the target zone anyways (slower then if we get his signal though)...just to make sure Luke is not in trouble.

As soon as I know the position of the target I will rush in range of it and I am going to use *move object* to lift it in the air.

You get no response or anything from Luke. So per your post you are sneaking around. Your rolls are not opposed so you have no problem getting to Luke and the battle.

You see Luke engaged in combat with a gunslinger Verpine. Luke is not making any aggressive attacks but is only deflecting the blaster shots. He glances over the Verpine’s shoulder and sees you and smiles. Luke almost seems to know what you are about to do.

Your use force check is enough to hold the Verpine. The creature screams JIBBY YO as it is lifted off the ground. It continues to shoot at Luke but Luke is skilled enough to deflect the shots away. The Verpine places his guns in their holsters and yells JIBBY YO and kicks his feet in the air. The Verpine begins to apologize over and over again.

((Two questions; what you do next and how many of the troops came with you? There were a total of 6 in your squad.))

I took two. The other four stayed EXACTLY where they are.

I will say to Luke.

"what now sir...i'm not good with "non hostile" negotiations..."

I will send a telepathic message to all six troops to "sweep" their general areas for hostiles and report via com if they see anything.

So the two troops by me and luke will kind of guard and search the area while I talk to luke

Luke convinces the verpine that they are no harm. You let him go from the move object and the verpine doesn't run away.

You get no response from the other four soldiers. You hear in the distance the sound of rapid fire and screaming.

Jibby Yo : "Jibby Yo!!! Oh no!!! I forgot. The auto cannons! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Jibby Yo bites his lips nervously.

When you get back to the place you left the four soldiers you find their bodies and 6 cannons still shooting at the soldiers. The cannons clips are empty so they are no longer doing any damage. Each cannon is camouflaged in the trees. Jibby Yo takes out a little box and hits a button on it. The cannons stop firring.

Jibby Yo : "Jibby Yo!!! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Luke sighs deeply. The Verpine perks up like he hears something.
Perception roll - Result you hear the sounds of the jungle.. Welcome to the Jungle baby, your gonna die!

Jibby Yo : "Jibby Yo!!! The Empire!"

The verpine points to a path way.

Luke :"I hear the sound of a machine."

Withing seconds the ground starts to rumble.

Jibby Yo jumps into some bushes.

I look to Luke to see what he does... I tell the soldiers to get ready to fight or run...one way or the other were doing something BIG.
